Angels for Horses: The ASPCAexhibit design

Beginning with extensive research in the archives and collections of the ASPCA, MZD curated, designed and installed this exhibiton on the history of the organization’s role in compassion for horses and life of it’s founder, NYC socialite Henry Bergh. The exhibit opened at the International Museum of the Horse in Lexington, KY to coincide with the first US hosting of the World Equestrian Games.

ASPCA Administrative Offices: Lobby and Reception Areaenvironmental graphics

A bold, graphic panel with animal photographs and the ASPCA identity provides confirmation that one has arrived at the ASPCA as the elevator door opens. The reception wall floor-to-ceiling montage of adopted pets and their owners lend entertainment and joy to the environment.

ASPCA History Timeline Exhibitexhibit and interior design

MZD’s comprehensive research, image selection, artifact selection and writing were essential in presenting the rich history of the ASPCA. The process yielded graphic panels, artifact presentation and custom designed display cases installed throughout 4,000 square feet of public space within the administrative offices. Color schematics of the permanent exhibition enhance the interior decor.

ASPCA LEED® Certification Displaypanel design

The ASPCA’s Administrative Offices were awarded Gold Certification by the United States Green Building Council. Working in collaboration with ARQ Architects, MZD developed an exhibit display panel presenting information on the history of the space and its transformation into a quiet, healthful work environment.
