Liberation: 1945exhibition identity, catalogue, public relations and educational materials

This exhibition identity was created to symbolize and juxtapose both the liberation of the survivors of Nazi concentration camps and the atrocities uncovered by the allied forces when they arrived in 1945. In addition to a catalogue lavishly illustrated with photographs and artifacts, MZD produced accompanying educational materials including posters and video packaging.

Hidden History of the Kovno Ghettoexhibition identity, book, educational materials and music CD

Hidden History, a major two-year exhibition, recounted the plight of 37,000 Jews that were spared death and instead herded into a Lithuanian ghetto in 1941. MZD created this 256-page hardcover catalogue using photographs, paintings, drawings, letters, diaries, and reports, and worked with historians to create maps of Eastern Europe that had never been composed before. The exhibition identity was carried through to educational materials, signage, and an audio CD of music composed by Ghetto inhabitants.

You Are My Witnessesannual report

This annual report is one of the earliest published by the USHMM. The grandeur of the Museum’s main hall is captured on the cover and is supported by the biblical quote inscribed on a feature wall of the space.
